Our main text types are: Narrative - creative story
Recount - story about something that has happened
Explanation - explaining how or why something works
Persuasive writing - Giving reasons to persuade people on an issue
Instructions - How to do something
Poetry - Using imagery to create poetic writing

We use this rubric to judge our writing on to make sure we are level 4 writers:
b = beginning        p = proficient        a= advanced

Audience Awareness and Purpose
Explains idea or phenomenon clearly.

Chooses content, language and writing style for the purpose
